Me, Myself & Us in the Spotlight: Exploring Communication Systems

As part of LINX2026, we are pleased to offer a special interactive soft skills session open to all members of the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics (MPIK).

This workshop will be led by Frauke Logermann, Social Scientist and Team Lead for Talent, Gender & Diversity Affairs at the Max Planck Society.

In this interactive session, participants will explore how communication works both with others and within ourselves, inspired by the communication model of Friedemann Schulz von Thun. Through guided reflections, short exercises, and group interaction, the workshop invites participants to reflect on the multiple layers of communication and the inner voices that shape how we speak, listen, and respond.

Rather than focusing on theory alone, the session emphasizes practical and reflective learning. Participants will gain insight into how messages can carry different meanings depending on perspective and context, and will have the opportunity to experiment with expressing themselves more consciously and clearly.

No prior knowledge is required, and all MPIK staff are warmly welcome to join.

Date: May 6, 2026
Time: 17:00 – approx. 18:30
