Code of Conduct for the Euclid Consortium Meeting

All members of the Euclid Consortium are reminded to adhere to the Euclid Consortium Code of Conduct. In-person participants must also comply with the Max Planck Society Code of Conduct.

We are committed to creating an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment where everyone can fully participate and enjoy the meeting.

Expectations for Behavior:

  • Treat all attendees with dignity and respect, ensuring professional conduct at all times.
  • All communication—whether online or in person—should be appropriate for a professional audience and considerate of diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Approach discussions and contributions with a constructive and positive attitude, fostering collaboration and mutual understanding.

Prohibited Behaviors:

  • Harassment, including but not limited to:
    • Offensive verbal comments or gestures
    • Deliberate intimidation or stalking
    • Harassing photography or recording
    • Sustained disruption of discussions or activities
    • Inappropriate physical contact or unwanted sexual attention
  • Discriminatory behaviour, such as exclusionary remarks or jokes targeting an individual's identity, including gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, or religion.

Promoting Respectful Interaction:

  • Be kind and avoid insults, demeaning comments, or unprofessional conduct.
  • Refrain from making or endorsing sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes or statements.

Consequences of Violations:

Participants who violate this Code of Conduct may face appropriate actions, including being asked to leave the meeting without a refund, depending on the severity of the infraction.
