We’re pleased to announce the 11th edition of our world-famous NRW-APT user meeting, hosted at the Max-Planck-Institute für Nachhaltige Materialien from 19th to 21st May 2026. As a follow-up to the success of the 10th NRW user-meeting, we aim to bring again together APT users from not only NRW, but also from all across Europe!

Abstract submission deadline extended to 7th April 2026

We expect an emphasis on:

  • cryo-APT and cryo-developments for specimens preparation
  • Bio-minerals and bio-materials
  • APT for hydrogen analysis and related applications
  • APT for energy materials
  • Nanostructure in metals and semiconductors
  • machine-learning for APT data processing
  • Fundamentals of field evaporation and Field ion microscopy
  • Advancement in correlative techniques

The meeting is planned in person from 19th to 21st May 2026.

The idea was always to have discussions, so you may want to prioritize topics that are not yet fully understood but on which you want feedback and raise discussions and maybe gain from the experience of other colleagues who’ve faced similar problems.
