If all places are fully booked, we can put you on the waiting list.
On the one hand, you are excited about your research stay abroad because it opens up attractive new professional opportunities. On the other hand, you may sometimes face personal challenges: you find yourself in an unfamiliar environment where familiar networks are missing. This can lead to feelings of homesickness – or in some cases even to experiences of discrimination.
Workshop topics include:
- exchange on common challenges,
- learning and experiencing concrete tools to cope with stress, loneliness, or feeling overwhelmed,
- everyday methods to actively strengthen your resilience and self-care,
- discussion on how to create positive experiences and build sustainable social connections.
The workshop combines input, exchange, and practical exercises. The goal is for you to take away concrete strategies that make your research stay not only professionally successful, but also personally enriching.
