Abstract: Using Parker Solar Probe SWEAP datasets, we analyze a series of spectra exhibiting coherent oscillatory signatures. We use the Lomb-Scargle method to analyze 17 PSP encounters, comparing the original unevenly sampled data against wavelet analyses of the interpolated, evenly sampled time series. Solar wind data exhibit sequences of statistically significant periods that are consistent across various physical quantities. Our analysis reveals coherent, fixed periodicities in the 2-20 hour range, with the highest statistical confidence observed for periods between 4 and 8 hours. It is also vital that the signatures of these periods are systematically absent in datasets of the PSP orbital trajectory far from the encounter sites. The coherent signal is detectable both at perihelion, when PSP moves tangentially to the solar surface, and during the approach and recession phases when the trajectory is primarily radial. Also, there are discrepancies in measured periods across different physical quantities that may indicate distinct oscillatory driving mechanisms.
