Abstract: Pycfit is a python-based spectral fitting tool utilizing new astropy modeling capabilities and inspired by SSW IDL CFIT. The software package consists of three parts: (1) a GUI that can be used to set up a template to fit a set of lines (2) a routine utilizing new astropy modeling capabilities for fast fitting of the full data cube needed to analyzed data from rastering slit spectrographs, and (3) an additional GUI that can be used to inspect and tweak the results. Although the software was designed as part of the Solar Orbiter/SPICE project, it is general and can be used for other similar data sets
