Abstract: We investigate the propagation characteristics of acoustic-gravity waves in the lower solar atmosphere using data obtained from the PHI High-Resolution Telescope onboard the Solar Orbiter. The full Stokes vector from a 6 hr long quiet Sun data obtained with the HRT were inverted to retrieve the relevant physical quantities at constant geometrical height. From these inversions, we derive the wave spectra and characterize their variation with height. The observed wave spectra are directly compared with those obtained from numerical simulations in order to identify and understand the sources of discrepancies between the two.
