NMPP retreat 2026 Ammersee

Europe/Berlin
Description

This is the page of the NMPP retreat this spring,
in the Seminarzentrum Riederau am Ammersee

   https://seminare-ammersee.de

This nice venue by the lake is easy to reach from Munich, by car or public transportation: it should be a great opportunity for all of us to review our work and better understand the research done in the department.

The current plan is to organise the retreat in three parts:

- a first part where the different groups/codes present an overview of their current state and recent results. This would take two to three half days

- a second part where all the members of NMPP can (should!) present their work, in the form of one long poster session, preceeded by a quick (1-2 min) oral presentation of each poster in front of the full division

- a third part where open problems and code objectives are presented and discussed.

We hope that every member of NMPP can attend and contribute to the presentations and/or to the posters, which may be prepared alone or collectively.

Moreover, since this is a second iteration after the retreat that we had in 2024 at the Kloster Seeon, we welcome any feedback that you may have to improve the organization.

We look forward to constructive interactions!

Best wishes,
Florian, Martin, Michael, Stefan
