Coffee and Bytes: Mastering Mastodon for Tracking, Analyzing, and Visualizing Inside Large Biological 3D Timelapse Datasets
CBG Galleria
Join us for an engaging talk on the tracking software, Mastodon, by Johannes Girstmair. In this workshop you will learn how to create a Mastodon project from 3D timelapse image data. We will demonstrate how to track and interact with objects, such as annotated nuclei, using manual, semi-automatic, and automatic methods. We will also cover the use of advanced analysis tools, including feature extraction, lineage clustering based on lineage tree similarity, and interactive data exploration. Finally, we will show you how to visualize trajectories using Blender, the free and open-source 3D graphics software.
Coffee and Bytes, hosted by our Scientific Computing Facility, will be a casual forum where we will give an overview of different scientific computational topics and trends (Git, Containers, Visualization in R, and many more!), all in “byte”-size portions :) Even better, the presentation will be followed by a discussion over coffee and snacks (AKA bytes)
