DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the PHDS Annual Academy 2026 registration page!\nIM
 PORTANT: \nRegistration for in-person participation at the 8th IMPRS-PHDS
Annual Academy is closed as we have reached our capacity limit. However\,
you can be placed on our waiting list by sending an email to phds@demogr.m
pg.de stating that you are applying for in-person participation in the IMP
 RS-PHDS Annual Academy. Should a registered in-person participant cancel\,
we will offer their place to the next person on the waiting list\, on a f
 irst-come\, first-served basis.\nRegistration for online participation is
still open and will remain open until the end of the academy on December 1
 1.\nThe 8th IMPRS-PHDS Annual Academy takes place from 9 - 11 December 202
6 at the MPIDR in Rostock. This year’s academy will again focus on stude
nts’ research presentations and networking activities. All students will
be given the opportunity to present themselves and their research to our
network and receive feedback from faculty\, alumni and from their peers. O
ur alumni will again share their experiences in a designated session. As a
lways\, we will allow ample time for informal discussions\, socializing\,
and networking. As always\, the Academy will thrive on active participatio
n\, and everyone should be actively involved.\nOur 2026 Academy will be an
onsite event with a limited virtual option. Conditions for in-person and
virtual participants will not be the same. In particular\, in-person parti
cipants will have better conditions and virtual participants will have wor
se conditions. It is likely that we will stream the talks and presentation
s\, while participation in the networking activities will only be availabl
e to on-site attendees. We therefore strongly recommend that you attend in
  person.\non-site:Max-Planck-Institute for Demographic ResearchKonrad-Zuse
