Getting there
By train
There are two train stations with long-distance connections: Dresden Hbf and Dresden-Neustadt. From Dresden Hbf you can take Tram 8 to St.-Benno-Gymnasium where you can change to Bus 62 taking you to Dresden Johannstadt which is a three-minute walk to the institute. From Dresden Neustadt you can take Tram 6 to Augsburger Straße which is a ten-minute walk to the institute.
By plane
We recommend flying to airport Berlin Brandenburg (BER). There are direct trains from BER to both Dresden Hbf and Dresden Neustadt departing every other hour. Other nearby airports are Dresden (only very few flights), Leipzig-Halle and Prague.
By bike
The institute is close to the Elbe which has a beautiful bicycle path (Elberadweg). There is a bike sharing network where you can rent bikes almost everywhere in the city (they are called MOBIbike).
