 vely on a theme\, or answer challenging and unexpected questions are skill
 s often required for academic speakers – and mark the difference between
  basic competence and true flexibility and communicative confidence in you
 r chosen area of expertise. \nLearning the building blocks of spontaneous
  speaking\, and how to work more freely and creatively with structure and 
 information not only gives you more confidence and flexibility with your m
 aterial but allows you and your listeners the opportunity to approach a su
 bject from new angles with freshness and elan. \nIn this workshop partici
 pants learn through role-plays and exercises to juggle structure according
  to the situation\, link creatively\, and use the familiar information in 
 an unfamiliar and flexible way. The workshop comprises: - The beginner’
 s mind: Improvisation exercises for creative thinking - Juggling content:
  Being flexible with structure and linking information - In the box\, out
  of the box: Going deep into a theme or providing a broad overview? - The
  perfect espresso: Making complex information bitesize - The question of 
 questions: Strategies for responding to the unexpected - Bringing it toge
 ther: Specific role-plays for specific skills - Speaking out of the box: 
 My next steps \nTrainer: Orlando Schenk\, Nothweiler\, studied singing an
 d speech at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London\, Speech Sci
 ence at  Regensburg University\, is a speaker and speech trainer at the A
 kademie für gesprochenes Wort in Stuttgart. He has worked for over twenty
  years as a communication and rhetoric trainer in various institutions bot
 h in Germany and the UK\, in particular in universites and research instit
 utes. His areas of expertise include speech and voice training\, non-verba
