AMD-GPU Hackathon for VIPER-GPU

After the successful AMD-GPU Hackthon last year, we will repeat it in this event with a slight change. The lecture part is done together with the HLRS in a different event in the previous week.

In this part here, we will focus on the work on the MPG codes that should be ported to, optimized/analyzed on our VIPER-GPU system. Applicants should bring in their own codes, a defined test case (1-4 VIPER-GPU nodes, short runtime in the range of minutes) and should have the knowledge on how to use the AMD tools (as presented in the lecture week before).

Experts from the MPCDF, from Eviden and AMD will be present and help in using the tools, develop optimization and porting strategies and assess the performance of the codes.
