Description

Look forward to another colorful bouquet of safety, prevention and well-being at work.

Did you know that the number of headache patients has increased by 30% since the coronavirus pandemic began, especially among younger people?

That's what Prof. Dr. med. Gudrun Goßrau told us. She is the head of the headache clinic at the University Pain Center at the Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital in Dresden. She heads both the headache clinic for children and adolescents and the University Pain Center and will tell us about primary and secondary headaches and what can be done to treat them acutely or prevent them at 11 a.m..

And at 2 p.m. on that day, we are pleased to announce Dr. Helmut Friedlein from the Skin Protection Center in Leipzig, who will speak on the following topics:

• How is the skin protected? What is the difference between skin protection and skin care? How should skin protection and skin care be used correctly
• How are hands cleaned?
• Which skin protection products are suitable?
• Which gloves are suitable for which tasks?
• How can skin-friendly working practices help to prevent the development or worsening of initial skin symptoms?

A short 45-minute presentation, with the opportunity to ask questions, will be followed by experiments, demonstrations, and guided exercises led by the doctor.

Thanks to our co-operation with the Techniker Krankenkasse, we can offer the following health modules in parallel to the Health Day:

1. Mobility Check (OnSite):
https://gps.gib-gesundheit.de/schedule-voting?uuid=9c6d22ce-01af-4711-8666-570535c4b502
Please find a detailed description of this module under Materials. Measurements are taken on an examination table. The areas of the shoulder and neck, torso, chest and back of the legs are checked. The measurement can be carried out in comfortable everyday or business clothing. (However, measurement with a skirt is not possible.)

2. Neck Check (OnSite):
https://gps.gib-gesundheit.de/schedule-voting?uuid=aa554352-4552-4148-a74b-8faa467fc269
A pressure sensor is placed in the neck area, which measures the applied muscle forces. All measurements take place under biofeedback conditions, so that body perception and the feeling for the targeted use of the deep muscles are trained at the same time.

3. Pupillography (OnSite):
https://gps.gib-gesundheit.de/schedule-voting?uuid=74cb37a7-a490-4c05-b3a8-1af9b1ebb7d6
During the measurement, the participants wear special glasses that measure the pupil diameter and its fluctuations over the entire measurement time of approx. 5 minutes. (If possible, do not wear contact lenses during the measurement; glasses must be removed.)

Feel free to check it out and register!
