Wilfried Krätzschmar called tradition a “backpack”—not a burden, but a toolkit for inspiration.
After the acclaimed 2019 premiere of his 5th Symphony, Krätzschmar returns to DTzM 2025 with a major new work, performed by the Elbland Philharmonie Sachsen under Ekkehard Klemm. The night starts with a fresh piece by Aida Shirazi which will be recorded and broadcast by Deutschlandfunk.
