Karl Ziegler was a chemist, a Nobel laureate, a passionate art collector and Director at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung from 1943 until 1969.
His work had a lasting impact on the development of the institute. The Karl Ziegler Lecture Series, initiated in 1978, honors outstanding scientists.
From May 12 - 13, 2025 Prof. Dr. Craig Crews from Yale will visit the Mülheim institute as Karl Ziegler guest professor.
