Join us (together with your families) for a refreshing Spring Herb Walk just before Easter! Whether you like to hike, learn, bake, craft, or eat delicious seasonal food, there is something for all on the program. As a highlight, an experienced herb expert from the Volkshochschule Dresden will guide us on a hike to identify edible plants!
As the first signs of spring emerge, so do a variety of wild herbs, bringing renewed energy and health benefits after the winter months. Together with an experienced guide, adults will explore the meadows and green spaces of Dresden, learning to identify and collect local wild herbs while discovering their culinary and medicinal uses. While the grown-ups delve into nature’s pharmacy, children will enjoy their own guided nature activities, making the experience fun and engaging for all ages.
After the walk, we’ll return to the institute for a hands-on crafting and cooking session, using herbs we’ve gathered to create delicious dishes together. Send your favourite recipe suggestions incorporating spring herbs or special cultural traditions for Easter to health@mpi-cbg.de!
