The MPI-CBG Postdoc Program will host a workshop titled "Research to Industry: Crafting Your Path to Success" on October 14th and 15th, 2024. This two-day workshop is designed for academic researchers interested in transitioning to industry positions.
The workshop will cover the following topics, led by professional recruiter and career coach Yvonne Brockhaus (http://www.yvonne-brockhaus.com):
- An overview of the research industry landscape and pathways to entry (e.g., social media, networking, etc.)
- Tailoring CVs and applications for industry roles
- Interview skills for industry job interviews
- Dos and don’ts of salary negotiations
The course will feature a combination of hands-on workshop sessions and informal information sessions on each topic. Additional information on the schedule and the topics covered will be provided to the registered participants.
