Description

In this 1 day workshop, we will present the open-source 3D MHD equilibrium solver GVEC, and help the participants to install and use it.

We decided to do an in-person event, no zoom.

We ask all participants to register for the event!!

We will have a morning and afternoon session. In the morning, our  plan is to make a short introduction, then followed by a hands-on session on how to use GVEC via the python interface (pygvec), together with a Q&A session. In the afternoon, we plan to  have a python programming session, where everyone can try to extract the relevant data from the equilibrium needed for their specific application.

Further information will be provided soon on this page.

Public transport to IPP Garching: NOTE that the direct connection with the Ubahn U6 from the city center to Garching Forschungszentrum is divided into two sections. You have to change the train at the station 'Kieferngarten'.
